MFHS Library Media Center: Summer Reading

Reminders:

  • Use the app Beanstack to track your minutes read
  • Log in through Clever
  • Make sure to link your school account with your public library account! The public library has a really awesome summer reading program too! When you link your account on Beanstack, all of the minutes you log will count towards BOTH programs and doubles your chances to win prizes.

The challenge will run from June 1st  - August 31st.

Raffle drawings will take place in the Fall!

Grab your book and come hang out with us in the park! Anyone who joins us will earn an activity badge.

  • June 21 - Oakwood, Shelter #1, 3-5 pm

  • July 12 - Rotary Park, Shelter #2, 3-5 pm

  • August 9 - Mill Pond Park, Shelter #1, 3-5 pm

Students may check out up to 10 books to take home over the summer. Starting June 2nd, you can come to the LMC to check out your books! Books will be due back September 2nd.

We will have tote bags to decorate and take your books home in, if you have:

  • No overdue books
  • Beanstack downloaded on your device

Students will be required to sign an agreement, acknowledging that you understand that you will be required to pay for any lost books.

Everyone at MFHS is invited to join us as we try to read 150,000 minutes over the summer! ALL reading counts - audiobooks, magazines, newspapers can count towards your reading. Everyone is welcome to participate! See Mrs. Leonard or Mrs. Martinez if you have questions. If you plan to participate in the public library's program, any minute you log for our program will ALSO count for theirs! There is no need to count your minutes twice.
